Kwame Brown is Back!!
Kwame Brown, the former #1 overall pick of the Washington Wizards, has agreed to a one-year contract with the Charlotte Bobcats. It will reunite Brown with the man who drafted him… Charlotte Bobcats majority owner Michael Jordan.
“The last few years have been difficult for (Brown),” says his agent, Mark Bartlestein, who apparently is using the term “last few years” to describe Kwame’s entire career. “There were a lot of easier places Kwame could have gone, a lot of safer places.”
This writer couldn’t disagree more. Charlotte has a restrained mediacompared to Washington and Los Angeles, the two locations Brown was a biggest disappointment. Having made the playoffs last season for the first time in their short history, the pressure on the Bobcats is extraordinarily limited. And with new owner Michael Jordan in place, the amount of responsibility on Browns talentless shoulders is smaller than it has ever been before in his career.
The fact remians, as far as NBA Draft busts go, Kwame Brown is arguably the biggest of all time. He has not even shown glimpses of the potential he alledgedly showed as a High School Star, and his only contribution to the world of sports has been this infamous rant by the brutally honest dialogue of mastermind Stephen A. Smith:
“No disrespect…. the man cannot play the game of basketball.”
