5 Margaritas for May 5!

Check your calendar — today is May 5, otherwise known as Cinco de Mayo. And otherwise otherwise known as the perfect excuse to have a margarita. Or cinco.

We’ve scoured the internet to find 5 margaritas worthy of Mexican Independence Day. So grab an apron, whip out the tequila, and start blending!

The Guacarita
Who has time for chips and dip and blended beverages? For the busy Cinco de Mayo enthusiast, we recommend the Guacarita, a fab combination of guac and tequila. This superdrink is at its guaciest when made with Cabo Wabo Blanco Tequila.

The Beer Margarita
If you know a muchacho that’s too macho for a standard ‘rita, perhaps this variation will attract his attention. This manly drink is two parts beer, one part tequila, and — of course — one part limeade.

The Paloma
Add some effervescence to your Mayo of Cinco with this sweet drink featuring agave reposado tequila (e.g. Partida), and grapefruity soda (Squirt is a nice choice).

The Pumpkin Margarita
Halloween seems so far away. But you can get that fall vibe in a pinch by combining the aforementioned Partida with pumpkin puree. Mmm!

The Chocolate Margarita
