Chris Shaw is the Powerball Winner Missouri
Chris Shaw is toothless and rich. The 29-year-old convenience store clerk just won $258 million in the Missouri Powerball… bringing his bank account balance to a grand total $258,000,030. (Can you figure out how much money he had before?)
The Powerball winner Missouri bought the ticket at the store where he works — and where he continues to work, for now.
So, what is Shaw going to do with all of that money?
Pay bills, mostly. With $30 in the ‘ole account, we can imagine that things got a little backed up.
Shaw also plans to take his three kids to Disney World, and to pay his friend back for a 1998 Ford Ranger that he was previously purchasing in $100 installments.
And, you know, maybe some front teeth.
The way we see it, the $258 mil. couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. Of course, not all lottery winners wind up living the dream for long…
Believe it or not, a full third of lottery multimillionaires are bankrupt within a few years, having no experience responsibly handling oodles of cash.
The main consensus is this: If you were happy poor, you’re be happy rich. If not, you’ll probably stay unhappy, bajillions or no.
